Classic Air Fryer Lobster Tails

Course Main Course

Ingredients

  • 2 ~6-8lbs each lobster tails
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes. While waiting, butterfly the lobsters using the steps outlined earlier.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster meat, making sure to get it into all the crevices. Be mindful to use only the flavored butter because the chunks of garlic might burn in the fryer and impart a bitter taste to the dish.
  • Place the lobster tails in the air fryer basket, shell side down. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the lobster tails from the air fryer and drizzle with any remaining garlic butter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

The cooking time won’t always be 6-8 minutes because it depends on the size of your lobster tails. So if you’re unsure, it’s better to use the internal temperature as a reference. And if you happen to have any leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge but only for up to 2 days.
